Los Angeles, February 28, 2023: Riot Games announced today the official dates, format changes, and region updates for the upcoming TFT Monsters Attack! Championship. Riot regions around the world have also kicked off their regional qualifying tournaments which will conclude mid-May to determine which players will be invited to the global event.
The Championship announcement trailer will be available to view at this link after 8AM PT, Feb 27.
Global Championship
Monsters Attack! will culminate in a global competition on May 26 - 28. The tournament will be held online for 32 of the best TFT tacticians who have qualified through their region’s qualifiers. The winner of the global championship will walk away with $150K USD and the golden spatula trophy. The full prize pool is broken down below:
Tournament Format Updates
Beginning with this Set, Southeast Asia (SEA) has been added as a new region in the global competitive ecosystem. With the addition of SEA, the number of Regional Seeds that will qualify into the Global Championship has been updated. The full breakdown can be found in this chart:
Another update for the Monsters Attack! Global Championship is the introduction of group draws. In previous Sets, players who have qualified for the event were equally distributed into starting lobbies through a random draw. In efforts to move toward rewarding players who finish higher in their regional qualifiers, the following updates have been made:

4 Tiers have been created based on regional seed allocation
